Georgetown trip

I was so happy to be invited to the Georgetown by Glenda. Both Kelsey and Ethan joined.

The weather was so gorgeous in Denver, though it had heavy snow in the east coast.

Georgetown was a small town roughly 40 miles away from Denver. Since the visit to Celebration town in Florida, I have been interested in little well designed towns in US. Georgetown was really a tiny town with a tiny cute downtown. Several cute shops, several nice restaurants, and several necessary departments, such as post office, evergreen national bank, library. We had lunch in a well decorated American style restaurant. I tried the Grilled ELK burger. It had a special smell of the elk meat but still awesome! Got some nice georgetown postcards in the visitor center. Haha, it seems that collecting postcards becomes my interest now.

It had been a surprise when we knew that the well known georgetown loop train operates at this time. But it was another surprise that all the tickets sold out when we arrived the station. A little bit disappointed. Thanks to Glenda, she figured out that we could still see the whole mountain if we drove further west. We did it. It was  awesome about the amazing snow scenery! We really enjoyed it.

To be mentioned, we even saw the wild bighorn sheep on the foot of mountain when we drove through the highway.

Life becomes more warm in a foreign country when you have some friends like your family. I was so lucky to have some in both Portland and Denver. To have a thankful heart is of special value for me !
